Car slams into Denver Taco Bell, sending four people to the hospital

A Ford Focus sits at rest after crashing into the Taco Bell restaurant at Alameda and Federal early Friday.

Four people were taken to a hospital including at least one with serious injuries after a single car careened off Federal Boulevard and crashed into a Taco Bell early Friday morning, authorities say.

The crash happened near Alamada Avenue around 3 a.m. when the car veered into the restaurant at 350 S. Federal Blvd., according to a Denver emergency dispatcher.

No one inside the Taco Bell were injured, according to a tweet.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by Denver police traffic detectives.
